Weather Report Vinyl Records

Weather Report was an American jazz fusion band formed in 1970 by legendary jazz musicians Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter. The band also included Miroslav Vitous, Alphonso Johnson, Jaco Pastorius, and Peter Erskine.

Weather Report was one of the most influential jazz fusion bands of the 1970s and 80s, releasing a string of successful and critically acclaimed albums. Their standout albums include their self-titled debut album in 1971, Heavy Weather (1977), 8:30 (1979) and Night Passage (1980). Weather Report’s most successful and well-known songs include β€œBirdland”, β€œBlack Market” and β€œA Remark You Made”.

An interesting fact about Weather Report is that they were the first jazz group to have a synthesizer as part of their sound. This gave them a unique and modern sound that was unlike anything else that was being produced at the time.
