The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressive rock group active between 1975 and 1990. Founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, the group was signed to the Arista record label and released a total of 10 studio albums. They are best known for the progressive rock classics “Eye in the Sky”, “Time” and “Games People Play”.

The Alan Parsons Project's most notable albums include Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1976), I Robot (1977), Pyramid (1978), Eve (1979) and The Turn of a Friendly Card (1980). The group's highest charting single was “Eye in the Sky”, which peaked at No. 3 in the US.

An interesting fact about The Alan Parsons Project is that, despite the group's success, Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson never performed together on stage. Instead, the group was a studio-only project with a rotating cast of session musicians.
