Look At Yourself is a high-water mark for Uriah Heep, sharpening their heavy riffs and swirling organ into one of early 1970s hard rock’s defining statements. Issued in 1971, the album captures the band building on the debut-era formula with tougher edges, bigger dynamics and more adventurous song structures, while still delivering the melodic drive that made them stand out in the British rock boom. The title track, 'July Morning' and 'Tears In My Eyes' show the group balancing muscular riffing with dramatic, progressive flourishes. As part of the band’s early run of acclaimed releases, it helped cement their reputation well beyond cult status.
