The Flying Pickets – Lost Boys (VG+/VG+) – LP, UK 1984

Lost Boys is an LP by The Flying Pickets from 1984 released on the 10 Records label.

About this album

Lost Boys finds The Flying Pickets turning a cappella vocal work into a sharply arranged pop statement. Issued in 1984, the album builds on the group’s breakthrough success and shows how their harmony-led approach could stretch well beyond novelty, balancing inventive covers with their own material. Their version of Only You had already made them a chart name, and this record extends that appeal through soulful reworkings, playful rhythm and close ensemble singing. Blending pop, chanson and vocal styles, Lost Boys helped establish the group as one of the most distinctive British vocal acts of the 1980s.
