"Anthology celebrates The Clean! A band whose influences reach so far beyond influences extend so far beyond their native New Zealand that even those who have never heard of The Clean, have surely heard of some of their unique blend of garage rock, catchy tunes and psychedelic experimentalism Psychedelic experimentalism (Pavement, Yo La Tenga, etc.) (Pavement, Yo La Tengo and Superchunk, just to name a few) name a few).
"Anthology" begins with The Cleans battle cry debut "Tally Ho!" - the story of the $ 60 recording bill is legendary by now. It's followed by the early EPs "Boodle Boodle Boodle" and "Great Sounds Great" full-lengths. The hits - "Billy Two."
