Tangerine Dream – Exit (E/VG+) – LP, AU 1981

Exit is an LP by Tangerine Dream from 1981 released on the Virgin label.

About this album

Exit is a strong late-period Tangerine Dream album that refines the group’s electronic language into something leaner, darker and more immediate. Released in 1981, it sits firmly in the Berlin School and ambient tradition, with sequenced patterns, pulsing synth lines and cinematic tension driving the music forward. The record includes pieces such as “Kiew Mission” and the title track, which show the band balancing hypnotic repetition with a sharper sense of structure. As one of their most accessible early-1980s releases, Exit helped keep Tangerine Dream central to electronic music’s evolution beyond the 1970s.
