Suede-Trash – 30th Anniversary (12", Lilac Vinyl, 30th Anniversary Edition)

Suede's Trash was originally released in 1996, at the point where the band were moving into the bright, hook-heavy world of Coming Up. Rather than appearing as a UK 12-inch single at the time, it came out across two separate CD singles with exclusive extra tracks, making this 30th-anniversary edition a neat way of restoring that full era to one vinyl release.

The song itself remains one of Suede's great pop pivots: a big, glamorous anthem that kept Brett Anderson's affection for outsiders intact while pushing the band toward a more immediate, communal sound. That balance matters here, because the B-sides show how much depth sat around the single. Europe Is Our Playground and Another No One in particular have long outgrown their original supporting-role status, and together these six tracks capture Suede in a moment when melody, swagger, and vulnerability were all landing at once.

For vinyl buyers, this edition is especially appealing because it gathers both original CD1 and CD2 configurations into a single 12-inch EP for the first time, turning a fragmented mid-90s release history into something more satisfying and playable.
