    About this album

Arc Of A Diver is the album that established Steve Winwood as a major solo artist after Traffic and Blind Faith. Released in 1980, it pairs his soulful voice and multi-instrumental skill with sleek pop-rock writing and a more intimate, self-contained studio approach, much of it shaped by Winwood himself. Led by the enduring hit ‘While You See a Chance’, the album broadened his audience without losing the melodic depth and rhythmic feel that marked his best work. Its strong chart performance and lasting reputation made it one of the defining soft rock albums of the early 1980s.
