Please Don't Touch! is an LP by Steve Hackett from 1978 released on the Chrysalis label.

About this album

Steve Hackett’s Please Don’t Touch! is a strong solo statement that refines Genesis-era prog into something leaner and more varied. Released in 1978, it mixes intricate guitar work with melodic songcraft, art-rock textures and a more playful, adventurous spirit than much British prog of the period. The album also benefits from an impressive cast of guests, helping Hackett broaden his palette without losing his distinctive touch. With pieces such as ‘Narnia’ and the title track, it stands as one of his most approachable and best-regarded solo releases, bridging virtuosity and song-focused writing in a way that broadened his post-Genesis identity.
