Space is one of the most important acts in electronic music and a pioneer of cosmic disco. The band was founded in 1977 by Didier Marouani. “Magic Fly,” the band’s first single, embodies their futuristic DNA: melodic, cosmic, and disco-inspired music.
Following their worldwide success, three albums were released within two years: • “Magic Fly” (1977) combined melodic diversity with synthetic innovation, offering both dancefloor hits and midtempo tracks. • “Deliverance” (1977) is a classic 1970s concept album that ranges from disco to cosmic electronic music. • “Just Blue” (1978) is a more melancholic album featuring orchestral arrangements and complex harmonies. These three albums sold over 10 million copies worldwide. “The Art Of Space Disco (1977–1978)” showcases Space’s most iconic tracks and encapsulates two fruitful, intense years of musical innovation.
