Space is an English rock band from Liverpool, formed in 1993. They are best known for their 1997 hit single "Female of the Species," which reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. Space is made up of lead singer Tommy Scott, guitarist Jamie Murphy, drummer Andy Parle, and bassist Andy Parle.

Space's most successful album to date is Spiders, released in 1997. It spawned the singles "Female of the Species," "Me and You Versus the World," "Avenging Angels," and "Neighbourhood." Other notable albums include Tin Planet (1998), Suburban Rock 'n' Roll (1999), and Love You More Than Football (2001).

Some of Space's most popular songs include "Me and You Versus the World," "Neighbourhood," "The Ballad of Tom Jones," "The Girl and the Robot," and "Dark Clouds."

An interesting fact about Space is that their hit single "Female of the Species" was written about an alien abduction experience that lead singer Tommy Scott had when he was a child.
