For Your Pleasure is an LP by Roxy Music from 1973 released on the Island Records label.
About this album
For Your Pleasure is Roxy Music’s most daring early statement, sharpening the band’s glam theatrics into something stranger, cooler and more influential. Released in 1973, it followed the band’s self-titled debut and pushed further into art rock and avant-garde experiment, with Brian Eno’s treatments and Bryan Ferry’s croon creating a stylish but uneasy edge. The record includes some of Roxy Music’s best-known songs, from the propulsive Do the Strand to the unsettling In Every Dream Home a Heartache, and helped define the band as one of the era’s most inventive and visually distinct groups. Its blend of pop instinct and radical sound design made a lasting mark on rock.
