Phoebe Bridgers – Stranger In The Alps

On the album Phoebe Bridgers looks at and reflects her personal experiences through her unique songwriter perspective: There are obvious references of lost idols, canonical pop songs and actual events. But her stories unfold through the specific, atmospheric imagery, sung in her delicate, confessional style

According to Bridgers, everything you hear on the album is a matter of feeling; her music comes to her when she's at her most honest, without a special plan, she wants to be the person she is in the world in her songs. "I wasn't trying to be too lo-fi, too hi-fi, too self-serious, too disingenuous. I feel pretty confident that I'm finding my voice," says Bridgers. "I wanted the album to completely represent who I am and these songs are representative of what I set out to do."

Before "Stranger In The Alps" Phoebe Bridgers has already released three songs, which were produced by Ryan Adams in his studio in L.A. and released on his label. Since 2016 she has been on tour with Julian Baker, Conor Oberst, Ryan Adams and others. Bright Eye's mastermind Oberst can also be heard on "Stranger In The Alps" as guest singer in the song "Would You Rather".
