Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away (VG+/VG+) – LP, EU 2013

Push The Sky Away is an LP by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds from 2013 released on the Bad Seed Ltd. label.

About this album

Push The Sky Away is a stark, acclaimed late-period album that refocused Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on restraint, mood and lyrical tension. Released in 2013, it was shaped by the core Bad Seeds line-up and produced by Nick Launay, with Cave and Warren Ellis steering its pared-back, unsettling sound. Songs such as Jubilee Street and Higgs Boson Blues show Cave at his most oblique and compelling, drawing blues, art-rock and balladry into something fraught and deliberate. Widely regarded as one of the band’s key 21st-century releases, the album marked a mature shift in pace without losing its sense of menace.
