Neu! – Neu! (E/VG+) – LP, EU 2010

Neu! is an LP by Neu! from 2010 released on the Grönland Records label.

About this album

Neu! is a landmark debut that helped define krautrock with its stripped-back blend of rock drive and experimental repetition. Released in 1972, the album paired Klaus Dinger’s propulsive motorik pulse with Michael Rother’s melodic guitar and electronic textures, creating a sound that felt both austere and futuristic. With pieces such as Hallogallo and Negativland, the record turned minimalism into momentum and influenced generations of post-punk, ambient and electronic artists. Its importance lies not in volume but in control: Neu! made forward motion itself the hook, and in doing so became one of the most influential German albums of the era.
