About this album

Neu! 2 is a daring and influential Krautrock album that pushed the duo’s stripped-back formula into radical new territory. Released in 1973, it was made by Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother after the original sessions were exhausted, leading them to recycle and alter material across the record in a way that became part of its legend. The result is a jagged, inventive blend of motorik drive, tape manipulation and experimental rock logic that helped define the sound of German underground music. Its restless approach and enduring influence made it a key reference point for post-punk, electronic and ambient artists alike.
