Live Rust is an LP by Neil Young, Crazy Horse from 1979 released on the Reprise Records label.
About this album
Live Rust is a fierce live document of Neil Young & Crazy Horse at full strength, pairing ragged acoustic confessions with hard-edged electric catharsis. Recorded across the late-1970s Rust Never Sleeps tour and released in 1979, it distils Young’s ability to move from hushed reflection to amplified chaos without losing emotional focus. Songs such as Powderfinger, Cortez the Killer and Like a Hurricane became defining live showcases, while older material sits comfortably beside newer work. The album helped cement Young’s reputation as one of rock’s most unpredictable and vital performers, and remains a landmark of his long-running collaboration with Crazy Horse.
