About this album
Bomber is the album that turned Motörhead’s raw attack into a hard rock and heavy metal benchmark. Released in 1979, it sharpened the trio’s speed, grit and rock ’n’ roll swagger without losing the filthy energy that made them stand out. Recorded with producer Jimmy Miller, the record pairs Lemmy’s rough-edged bass and voice with fast, relentless guitars and an unmistakable sense of momentum. With title track bombast and hard-driving cuts such as Stone Dead Forever, it helped define the sound and attitude that made Motörhead one of the most influential bands in heavy music.
