Loggins And Messina – The Best Of Friends (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1976

The Best Of Friends is an LP by Loggins And Messina from 1976 released on the CBS label.

About this album

The Best Of Friends is a strong overview of Loggins and Messina’s melodic country-rock, gathering the pair’s most familiar songs from their early-1970s peak. Issued in 1976, the compilation draws on the duo’s blend of close harmonies, acoustic warmth and easygoing West Coast polish, a sound that helped them bridge folk, pop and classic rock audiences. Songs such as Danny’s Song, House at Pooh Corner and Your Mama Don’t Dance show both the softer, reflective side of the partnership and its sharper pop-rock bite. As a summary of their best-known work, it underlines why Loggins and Messina became one of the era’s most commercially successful and approachable duos.
