Loggins And Messina was a folk rock duo formed in 1971 by Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina. They released a total of seven albums between 1972 and 1977, two of which were certified gold and one platinum. Their debut album, Sittin' In, released in 1972, featured the hit single "Your Mama Don't Dance", which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo's second album, Loggins And Messina, released in 1973, included the popular singles "Peace of Mind" and "Angry Eyes". The album peaked at #9 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold.

Their 1975 album, On Stage, was the duo's most successful album. It featured their #1 hit single "Danny's Song", as well as the popular singles "Vahevala" and "My Music". The album was certified platinum and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

Other notable albums by Loggins And Messina include Mother Lode (1974), Native Sons (1976), and Full Sail (1977). Their songs also appeared on soundtracks for films such as Footloose (1984) and Caddyshack (1980).
