John Fogerty – Eye Of The Zombie (VG+/VG+) – LP, US 1986

Eye Of The Zombie is an LP by John Fogerty from 1986 released on the Warner Bros. Records label.

About this album

Eye Of The Zombie shows John Fogerty pushing his solo sound into a harder, more contemporary form while keeping the swamp-rock instincts that made his writing distinctive. Released in 1986, it followed a long gap after his debut and found him blending rock & roll muscle with murky Southern textures and sharper social commentary on songs such as “Headlines” and the title track. Working in the post-Creedence phase of his career, Fogerty used the album to reaffirm his gift for lean hooks, tough rhythms and plainspoken storytelling. It became a notable chapter in his catalogue, especially for listeners tracing how his voice and style evolved in the 1980s.
