    About this album

Ambient 2 (The Plateaux Of Mirror) is a landmark ambient collaboration between Brian Eno and Harold Budd, and one of the key recordings in the genre’s early history. Issued in 1980, it pairs Eno’s understated electronic treatments with Budd’s reflective piano, creating music that feels suspended, luminous and quietly immersive rather than driven by rhythm or song form. The album helped define ambient music as a serious listening experience, balancing colour, space and melody with unusual restraint. Its influence has endured far beyond its original release, making it a touchstone for listeners drawn to meditative, deeply atmospheric composition.
