FKA Twigs – Magdalene (NM/NM) – LP, EU 2019

Magdalene is an LP by FKA Twigs from 2019 released on the Young Turks label.

About this album

Magdalene is FKA Twigs’ most harrowing and fully realised album, a work that turns grief, desire and devotion into avant-pop drama. Released in 2019, it blends downtempo electronics, ethereal textures and contemporary R&B into a stark, intimate sound world shaped with unsettling precision. Across songs such as Cellophane, Home With You and Mary Magdalene, Twigs balances fragile vocals against fractured beats and chamber-like atmosphere, creating music that feels both deeply personal and boldly experimental. The album was widely praised for its emotional honesty and adventurous production, confirming her as one of the most distinctive artists of her generation.
