FKA Twigs is an English singer, songwriter, and dancer. She was born Tahliah Debrett Barnett in Gloucestershire, England in 1988. She began her career as a backup dancer for artists like Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue. In 2012, she began releasing her own music under the name FKA Twigs, a nickname given to her by friends because of the way her joints crack when she dances.

FKA Twigs' first two albums, LP1 (2014) and M3LL155X (2015), were critically acclaimed and established her as an innovative artist in the alternative R&B and avant-pop genres. Standout tracks from LP1 include "Two Weeks", "Pendulum", and "Water Me". M3LL155X featured songs such as "Figure 8", "Glass & Patron", and "I'm Your Doll".

In 2019, FKA Twigs released her third studio album, Magdalene. It was an intimate, intensely personal record that featured songs such as "Cellophane", "Sad Day", and "Holy Terrain".

An interesting fact about FKA Twigs is that she has a certification in ballet and studied pole-dancing, which she has incorporated into her live performances.
