About this album
The Best Of Eartha Kitt is a strong career overview of one of popular music’s most distinctive voices. By 1982, Kitt’s blend of cabaret polish, comic bite and smoky sensuality had already made her a singular figure across jazz, pop and stage performance, and this collection gathers the songs that best defined that persona. Numbers such as C’est Si Bon, I Want To Be Evil and Santa-style charmers like My Heart Belongs To Daddy show how she could turn theatrical wit into lasting pop appeal. It is a concise reminder of why Kitt remained both a nightclub legend and a crossover star.
