Eartha Kitt was an American singer, dancer, actress and comedian. She was born on January 17th, 1927 in North, South Carolina. She was best known for her 1953 hit song "Santa Baby". Kitt had a long and varied career, with standout albums such as the 1958 album "Eartha Kitt Sings The Blues", the 1967 album "Bad But Beautiful" and the 1975 album "I'm Still Here".

In addition to her music, Kitt was a successful actress. She starred in the Broadway production of "New Faces of 1952" and appeared in films such as "The Mark of the Hawk" and "Anna Lucasta". She also starred in the television series "Catwoman" from 1967 to 1968.

An interesting fact about Eartha Kitt is that she was the first black actress to portray Catwoman in the Batman television series. She was also the first black woman to host her own talk show, "The Eartha Kitt Show".
