Dolly Parton – 9 To 5 And Odd Jobs (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1980

9 To 5 And Odd Jobs is an LP by Dolly Parton from 1980 released on the RCA Victor label.

About this album

9 To 5 And Odd Jobs is one of Dolly Parton’s sharpest early-1980s albums, balancing crossover appeal with a pointed view of working life. Released in 1980, it was built around “9 to 5”, the title song from her hit film and one of her best-known recordings, but the album goes further by linking humour, empathy and economic realism across its country arrangements. Parton writes and sings with clarity and bite, turning everyday labour, hardship and perseverance into vivid storytelling. The record helped confirm her as a major mainstream star without losing the detail and humanity that made her country work endure.
