Deep Purple – The Deep Purple Singles A's & B's (VG/VG+) – LP, UK 1978

The Deep Purple Singles A's & B's is an LP by Deep Purple from 1978 released on the Harvest label.

About this album

The Deep Purple Singles A’s & B’s is a strong career-spanning snapshot of the band’s early evolution from psychedelic rock contenders to hard-rock heavyweights. Pulling together key single sides from the late 1960s and early 1970s, it charts the path from the breakthrough of Hush and Black Night to the driving power of Speed King, Strange Kind of Woman and Fireball. The compilation highlights the group’s knack for memorable riffs, organ-led drama and tightening studio craft as line-ups changed around them. Rather than a full studio album, it serves as a concise historical overview of one of British rock’s most influential bands.
