Los Cochinos is an LP by Cheech & Chong from 1978 released on the Warner Bros. Records label.
About this album
Los Cochinos is one of Cheech & Chong’s best-known early comedy albums, turning counterculture stoner humour into tight, sharply observed satire. Released in 1973, it follows the duo’s breakthrough formula of sketches, voices and absurd storytelling, but with a stronger sense of pacing and cultural bite. The album riffs on policing, sex, radio, speed-culture and Latino stereotypes, making its jokes feel both outrageous and pointed for the period. It also features the cult favourite “Basketball Jones”, one of their most enduring novelty numbers. As a snapshot of early-1970s comedy-rock, it remains a key Cheech & Chong release.
