Breathless is an LP by Camel from 1978 released on the Decca, Gama label.

About this album

Breathless is a refined late-’70s statement from Camel, balancing melodic prog ambition with a lighter, more immediate touch. Released in 1978, it found the band sharpening their instrumental interplay while keeping the songwriting concise and tuneful, with the title track, “Echoes” and “You Make Me Smile” showing their gift for detail and atmosphere. By this point Camel had already established themselves as one of British progressive rock’s more lyrical and elegant groups, and Breathless reflects that confidence without sacrificing melody. The album remains a strong example of prog that values finesse, composition and flow over excess.
