About this album
Super Blues is a hard-hitting Chicago blues summit that brings together three giants: Bo Diddley, Little Walter and Muddy Waters. Issued in 1967, it pairs Diddley’s insistent rhythmic drive with Waters’ deep electric blues authority and Walter’s harmonica fire, turning familiar signatures into a focused, star-studded session. Drawing on songs associated with the trio’s own repertoires and the wider blues canon, the album showcases the genre’s postwar electricity and urban bite. Its value lies in the chemistry between masters who helped define the sound of modern blues and influenced generations of rock musicians after them.
