About this album

Blink is a raw, fast-moving debut that captures Blink-182 before their mainstream breakthrough, when their punk roots were still front and centre. Released in 1994, the album favours rough-edged guitars, brisk tempos and juvenile humour, but it also reveals the melodic instinct that would later define the band’s pop-punk rise. With songs such as Carousel and 21 Days, Blink balances teenage mischief with hooks sharp enough to last beyond the scene that spawned it. It is an early document of a group that would help bring Southern California punk into the mainstream in the years that followed.
