Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California in 1992. The group consists of vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus, vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. They are considered to be one of the most successful and influential punk rock bands of all time.

Their breakthrough album, Enema of the State, was released in 1999 and featured the hit singles “All the Small Things” and “What’s My Age Again?” The album sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and was certified 5x platinum in the United States. The group’s follow up album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, was released in 2001 and was certified 3x platinum in the United States. The album spawned the singles “The Rock Show” and “First Date”.

Blink-182’s 2003 self-titled album, often referred to as “The Blink Album”, was their most successful to date and featured the hit singles “Feeling This”, “I Miss You”, and “Always”. The album was certified 4x platinum in the United States and was the group’s first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200.

The band released their most recent album, California, in 2016. The album featured the singles “Bored to Death”, “She’s Out of Her Mind”, and “Kings of the Weekend”. The album was certified Gold in the United States.

An interesting fact about Blink-182 is that the band was originally formed under the name “Blink”, but had to change their name after being threatened with legal action by an Irish band of the same name.
