Big L – Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous

Big L, one of hip-hop’s greatest lyricists, wowed audiences with his unmistakable voice, his flow, his witty punchlines, and his confident delivery. His debut album, *Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous*, released in 1995, immediately became a street sensation. Although it enjoyed only moderate commercial success, it was later recognized as a true classic.

Produced by members of Big L’s hip-hop crew, Diggin’ in the Crates Crew (D.I.T.C.)—including Lord Finesse, Buckwild, and Showbiz—*Lifestylez* effortlessly combined radio-friendly appeal with uncompromisingly hard-hitting lyrics. Tracks like “Put It On,” “MVP,” “8 Iz Enuff,” and “Da Graveyard” cemented Big L’s status as a hip-hop legend—despite the fact that it remained his only studio album before his untimely death in 1999.
