Big L Vinyl Records

Big L (Lamont Coleman) was an American rapper who was born and raised in Harlem, New York City. He rose to fame in the mid-1990s with his debut album, Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous, which was released in 1995. The album featured the hit single, "M.V.P." and was widely praised for its vivid and honest depictions of life in Harlem. Big L's second album, The Big Picture, was released in 2000 and included the singles "Ebonics" and "Put It On". This album was even more successful than his debut and is considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. Big L's other well-known songs include "Size 'Em Up", "Danger Zone", "Platinum Plus" and "8 Iz Enuff". He also collaborated with Nas and Jay-Z on the track "Da Graveyard". Big L tragically died in 1999 at the age of 24, just two weeks before his second album was released. An interesting fact about Big L is that he was the first artist to be signed to Rawkus Records, a legendary independent hip-hop label.
