America – Perspective (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1984

Perspective is an LP by America from 1984 released on the Capitol Records label.

About this album

Perspective is a polished mid-80s soft rock album that sees America updating their trademark harmonies and melodic ease for a cleaner, more contemporary pop sound. Released in 1984, the record reflects the band’s long run as reliable hit-makers, balancing smooth guitar pop with glossy production and a radio-friendly feel. Songs such as We Got All Night and Special Girl show America still working with concise hooks and laid-back warmth, while the album’s streamlined style places it firmly within the adult-oriented rock landscape of the period. It stands as a solid late-period statement from one of the era’s most enduring harmony groups.
