Altered Images – Collected Images (VG+/VG+) – LP, UK 1984

Collected Images is an LP by Altered Images from 1984 released on the Epic label.

About this album

Collected Images is a concise snapshot of Altered Images at their most immediate and melodic. Issued in 1984, this compilation draws on the Scottish band’s early new wave and synth-pop era, when Claire Grogan’s distinctive vocals and the group’s bright, punchy arrangements helped turn songs like Happy Birthday and Don’t Talk To Me About Love into memorable pop statements. The set highlights the band’s blend of giddy energy, glossy hooks and post-punk edge, showing why Altered Images became one of the most recognisable British pop acts of the early 1980s. It works as both an introduction and a neat summary of their early peak.
