Altered Images – Bite (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1983

Bite is an LP by Altered Images from 1983 released on the Epic label.

About this album

Bite finds Altered Images sharpening their New Wave pop into a more polished, radio-ready sound. Released in 1983, the album built on the success of the group’s earlier singles while pushing singer Clare Grogan’s bright, expressive voice into a sleeker pop-rock setting. Its best-known song, Don’t Talk to Me About Love, became a major breakthrough and helped define the album’s profile, while the rest of the record balances melodic immediacy with a cleaner, more mature approach than the band’s early work. For listeners tracing early-’80s British pop’s shift towards glossy, succinct songwriting, Bite is a key release.
