About this album

Reflets is an important early statement from Alan Stivell, helping define the modern Celtic folk revival through a mix of Breton tradition, Irish-inflected melody and reflective acoustic arrangements. Issued in 1970, it shows Stivell extending the harp-led sound that made him such a singular figure in French folk music, balancing traditional material with original compositions and broader Celtic themes. Pieces such as “Son Ar Chistr” and “Suite Irlandaise” helped establish his reputation for turning regional heritage into something contemporary and widely resonant. The album remains a key part of Stivell’s influential early catalogue.
