Released in 1993, the record extended the group’s acclaimed run from The Low End Theory, pairing Q-Tip and Phife Dawg’s easy chemistry with warm samples, crisp boom bap drums and a brighter, more playful edge. Built around standout moments such as “Award Tour,” “Electric Relaxation” and “Oh My God,” it helped define conscious rap in the 1990s and remains widely regarded as one of the group’s essential albums.
