A Tribe Called Quest Vinyl Records

A Tribe Called Quest is an American hip hop group formed in 1985, comprised of members Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi White. They are known for their pioneering jazz-infused style of hip-hop and their socially conscious lyrics.

The group's debut album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, was released in 1990 to critical acclaim and has since become a hip hop classic. Standout songs from this album include "Bonita Applebum", "Can I Kick It?", and "I Left My Wallet In El Segundo".

Their second album, The Low End Theory, was released in 1991 and saw the group become one of the most popular hip hop acts of the early 90s. It is considered one of the most influential hip hop albums of all time and included the singles "Check The Rhime", "Jazz (We've Got)", and "Scenario".

Their third album, Midnight Marauders, was released in 1993 and was just as successful as its predecessors. It featured the singles "Award Tour" and "Electric Relaxation".

Their fourth and final album, Beats, Rhymes and Life, was released in 1996 and marked a shift in their sound from jazz-infused hip-hop to a more mainstream sound. Standout songs from this album include "The Pressure" and "Start It Up".

In 1998, the group disbanded and went their separate ways. However, they reunited in 2006 for a number of live shows and, in 2016, released their first album in 18 years, We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service.

An interesting fact about A Tribe Called Quest is that they were the first hip hop group to perform at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
