a-ha – Scoundrel Days (VG+/E) – LP, AU 1986

Scoundrel Days is an LP by a-ha from 1986 released on the Warner Bros. Records label.

About this album

Scoundrel Days deepened a-ha’s synth-pop sound into something darker, more dramatic and more ambitious. Released in 1986, the album followed the worldwide breakthrough of Hunting High and Low and showed the Norwegian trio extending their reach beyond sleek pop singles into moodier, more layered territory. Driven by polished electronic textures, sharp melodies and Morten Harket’s soaring vocal, it yielded some of the band’s most enduring songs, including the title track, I’ve Been Losing You and Cry Wolf. The result helped confirm a-ha as more than a one-hit phenomenon, strengthening their place in 1980s pop.
