a-ha is a Norwegian pop band that formed in Oslo, Norway in 1982. The original line-up consisted of lead vocalist Morten Harket, guitarist Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and keyboardist Magne Furuholmen.

a-ha's first album, Hunting High and Low, was released in 1985 and is considered their most successful album. It spawned the hits "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines On TV," both of which were international successes. The band has released nine studio albums in total, with their most recent being Cast in Steel, released in 2015.

The band has achieved worldwide success, selling more than 80 million records and making them one of the best-selling bands of all time.
