REO Speedwagon Vinyl Records
REO Speedwagon is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois. The band's best known lineup consists of vocalist Kevin Cronin, guitarist Gary Richrath, bassist Bruce Hall, and drummer Alan Gratzer.
REO Speedwagon's first major breakthrough came in 1971 with the release of their second album, R.E.O. T.W.O., which yielded the band's first Top 40 single, "Sophisticated Lady". The band released a string of successful albums throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, including the multi-platinum Hi Infidelity (1980), which contained four US Top 40 hits and was the group's most successful album.
Standout albums include their first major label release R.E.O./T.W.O. (1971), the gold-certified Ridin' the Storm Out (1973), and the multi-platinum Hi Infidelity (1980), which featured the hits "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It on the Run".
The band has also released a number of successful singles, including "Ridin' the Storm Out" (1973), "Can't Fight This Feeling" (1985), and "I Don't Want to Lose You" (1987).
An interesting fact about REO Speedwagon is that their name is derived from the initials of the company that built the first truck they owned, Ransom E. Olds Motor Works.
