Quiver is an English folk rock band from London, formed in 1969 by Simon Nicol, Ashley Hutchings, Richard Thompson, and Dave Mattacks. They are considered one of the most influential bands in the English folk rock movement.

Their debut album, Quiver, released in 1971, was a critically acclaimed album that showcased the band's folk-rock style. It contained the hit single "When the Battle Is Over," which was covered by various artists including Joan Baez.

Their second album, Voice of the Heart, released in 1972, was a more traditional folk-based album, but still contained elements of rock. The album contained the hit single "Put Out the Light," which was a top 10 hit in the UK.

Their third and final album, Rendezvous, released in 1975, was a departure from their folk-rock sound, and instead featured a more progressive rock sound. The album contained the hit single "The Dance," which was a top 20 hit in the UK.

An interesting fact about Quiver is that Richard Thompson went on to become a successful solo artist after the band split up in 1975. He has since released over 20 solo albums and is widely considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
