Metallica

Metallica is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield. The original lineup of Metallica also included guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist Ron McGovney.

Metallica has released nine studio albums, four live albums, five extended plays, 26 music videos, and 37 singles. Their most acclaimed album is generally considered to be their fourth studio album, "Metallica" (also known as The Black Album). This album was released in 1991 and featured the band's biggest hits such as "Enter Sandman," "Sad But True," and "The Unforgiven."

Other notable albums from Metallica include "Ride the Lightning" (1984), "Master of Puppets" (1986), and "Load" (1996). Other popular songs from Metallica include "One," "Fuel," "Wherever I May Roam," and "Nothing Else Matters."

An interesting fact about Metallica is that the band was once sued for $1 million for copyright infringement for their song "Enter Sandman." The song was alleged to have been plagiarized from a song of the same name by a band called Unfinished Thought. The lawsuit was settled out of court.
