Madder Lake Vinyl Records

Madder Lake is an Australian rock band formed in 1972 in Melbourne. They are best known for their album Stillpoint, which reached #2 on the Australian album charts and was certified gold.

The band's sound was characterised by a hard-driving bluesy rock and roll with a distinctive saxophone, keyboards and harmonicas. The lineup included vocalist/guitarist John Robinson, drummer Pete Robinson, bassist/vocalist Barry Harvey, and keyboardist/vocalist Ross Hannaford.

Their standout albums include Stillpoint (1973) and Good Sons (1974). Their most popular songs include "The Sun Will Shine Again" (1973), "C'mon People" (1974), and "Ride the Wind" (1974).

An interesting fact about Madder Lake is that they were the first Australian band to be signed by Virgin Records, which was founded by Richard Branson.
