Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007) was a German composer and pioneer of electronic and experimental music. His work was influential in the development of modern electronic music and is seen as a major influence on many of today’s contemporary composers. He is best known for his musical works such as Kontakte (1959-60), Gesang der Jünglinge (1955-56), and Hymnen (1966-67).

Some of Stockhausen’s most notable albums are Kontakte (1959-60), Mikrophonie I & II (1964-65), Aus den sieben Tagen (1968), and Momente (1962-69). His most famous songs include “Gesang der Jünglinge”, “Hymnen”, “Mittwoch aus Licht”, and “Mantra”.

An interesting fact about Karlheinz Stockhausen is that he was once asked to write a piece of music for the Beatles. He declined, saying that he did not have time to write music for a “commercial group”.
