James Morrison is a British singer-songwriter from Rugby, Warwickshire. He first gained recognition in 2006 with the release of his debut album, Undiscovered, which featured the hit single "You Give Me Something". The album went on to achieve double-platinum status in the UK, as well as success around the world.

Morrison's follow-up album, Songs for You, Truths for Me (2008), was equally successful, and featured the singles "Wonderful World" and "Broken Strings" (a duet with Nelly Furtado). He released two more albums, The Awakening (2011) and Higher Than Here (2015), both of which achieved gold status in the UK.

Some of Morrison's most popular songs include "You Give Me Something", "Wonderful World", "Broken Strings", "I Won't Let You Go", "The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore", and "Slave to the Music".

An interesting fact about James Morrison is that he has a degree in music from the University of Leeds. He also co-wrote the hit single "Broken Strings" with his former tutor, Jim Duguid.
