Snappy Doo is an LP by James Morrison from 1990 released on the WEA label.

About this album

Snappy Doo is a polished 1990 jazz session that shows James Morrison in assured company, balancing lyrical standards with relaxed swing and classic phrasing. Recorded with Jeff Hamilton, Ray Brown and Herb Ellis, the album draws on the great American songbook and blues-rooted jazz tradition, with Morrison’s horn work sitting comfortably against an elite rhythm section. The set moves naturally from “Autumn Leaves” and “But Beautiful” to the title track, giving the material a warm, unforced feel. It is a fine example of Morrison’s versatility and of late-period straight-ahead jazz that values melody, feel and interplay over showy display.
